Webmail changes - default theme

We upgraded the webmail software, Roundcube, which included a change to the default theme to "Elastic". This theme works well on phones, tables and regular browsers.

If you miss the old one, go to Settings -> Preferences -> User Interface and select "Interjib". This theme is no longer maintained by its author and might wonk out as Roundcube moves on. We thank it for its service.

Webmail changes - two factor authentication

You can now enable two factor authentication, in the shape of those 6 digit codes you get from your authenticator app or password manager (eg: Google Authenticator, KeepassXC, Duo), on webmail.

Do this in Settings -> 2-Factor Authentication:

• Click Activate
• Click Fill all fields
• Scan the QR code into your authenticator app
• To test it worked paste the code from your app into the Check code box, and click it
• Stash your recovery codes in your password manager
• Hooray!

Future logins will now require the 6 digit code from your app.

Note this only protects webmail logins. The olde timey protocols that regular email clients use, like your phone's mail app, don't support this.

In light of this:

• The correctly paranoid will change their passwords periodically, and definitely if you lose your phone etc.
• More extreme: ask us to disable app logins altogether, leaving webmail the only way to log in. But hey, it's a thing.
